Atty. John Milloy

Director

About

As co-founder and active employee of the company, he is based in London and has over 20 years of experience in the maritime industry.

Working Life

I graduated from Cambridge University with honors in 1998. After a one-year internship, I received my barrister’s license. I started my career as an enforcement attorney at a medium-sized international commercial and enforcement law firm. After working there for one year, I continued to work at a larger, more corporate law firm and practiced maritime law and enforcement. After working there for more than 3 years and feeling completely confident that I had the necessary experience, I decided in a cold winter month of 2002 that it was time to do something on my own in the field of international maritime law and opened my Solas Law office in 2002. I quickly established strong connections in countries frequently visited by ships and began to follow our work extensively with many of my colleagues. Today, we provide services in all ports of the world through our partners. Thanks to my past experience, I have collected the receivables of my clients who were victims in hundreds of cases, sometimes by arresting the ships, sometimes by compensation, and sometimes by settlement (debt-receivables). Now, with the participation of our new colleagues, we continue our work stronger and more successfully.
